BTS's fifth studio album 'Arirang' has captured significant positions on major weekly charts both domestically and internationally.
Based on data from Hanteo Chart, a prominent album sales tracking platform, the album 'Arirang' secured the top position on both the weekly world chart and album chart during the period from March 23 to March 29. Remarkably, it reached the apex of these charts within three days of its release on March 20 and sustained this leading position for two consecutive weeks.

An article previewed by Billboard, a leading American music media outlet, on March 30 revealed that 'Arirang' topped the 'Billboard 200' main album chart dated April 4. The album debuted with a staggering 641,000 album units, marking the highest weekly performance for a group album since December 2014, when unit tracking began. Notably, 532,000 of these units were attributed to pure album sales, encompassing both physical and digital formats, setting a new benchmark for group album sales in over a decade.
BTS also achieved significant success on global music platforms. They dominated Spotify's weekly charts for the period of March 20-26, leading in categories such as 'Weekly Top Albums', 'Weekly Top Songs', and 'Weekly Top Artists'. The title song 'SWIM' claimed the number one spot on the 'Weekly Top Songs Global', while all 14 tracks from the album positioned within the top 30.
'SWIM' continued to lead Spotify's 'Daily Top Songs Global' and Apple Music's 'Top 100 Global' for 9 and 7 consecutive days, from March 20-28 and March 23-29, respectively. All tracks from the album were also present in the latest rankings of both platforms. Even after ten days post-release, the album's full tracklist retains significant popularity, underscoring the global fanbase's engagement.
BTS is scheduled to perform the 'BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'' at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, on April 9, 11, and 12. The tour will extend to stadiums in South America by October, including venues in Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil. Every scheduled show, totaling 46 performances across Goyang, North America, Europe, and Tokyo, Japan, has been sold out in advance, highlighting the group's exceptional ticket-selling capability.
